Driving Directions traveling East on Highway 78: Exit Rancho Santa Fe Road, make a right turn and get into left lane. Make a left at Cherokee Street (third stoplight) and immediate right into shopping center.
Driving Directions traveling West on Highway 78: Exit Rancho Santa Fe Road, make a left and go over bridge heading South. Make a left at Cherokee Street (second stoplight) and immediate right into shopping center.
Driving Directions from San Marcos Blvd.: From San Marcos Blvd., drive North on Rancho Santa Fe Road. Drive approximately 1 1/2 miles to La Mirada Street (just past Murray Callan Swim School and Spanish Market - Continental Cleaners on the corner). Make a right on La Mirada Street, and immediate left into shopping center.

HOTELS CLOSE BY:
The Quail's Inn at Lake San Marcos is a safe place to stay. It is located in an over 50 community, and is an older property, however it is safe and comfortable. This hotel is approximately 3 miles south of Ro Z's.
The Residence Inn is a new property on the Corner of Las Posas and Highway 78. This hotel is approximately a mile and half from Ro Z's.
Dining:
Las Posas Shopping Area (just a half mile East of Ro Z's): Elephant Bar, Boudain, Hawaiian BBQ, Pei Wei, Pat and Oscars.
San Marcos Restaurant Row (about a mile East of Ro Z's) on San Marcos Blvd: San Marcos Brewery (my favorite), Brunos Italian, Acapulco mexican food, and Fish House Vera Cruz.

WHAT IS Ro Z's SWEET ART STUDIO?
Ro Z's is a teaching facility contracted with Palomar College, and is a cake decorating supply shop. It is also a great place to have a meeting, party, or a night out. Private lessons are available.
ARE YOU A BAKERY?
No, I am a School of Confectionery Arts (cake decorating and sugar art) and a Retail Supply Store for baking and decorating needs. However you may order a specialty cake by e-mailing rozsweetart@att.net or phone Ro direct at 760-717-1358. All cakes are baked offsite at a rented commercial kitchen, and Ro Z's is not a bakery nor will the site become one. (Ro began her business as a baker/cake decorator many years ago, and evolved into a demonstrator for vendors and a professional instructor)
WHAT ARE THE AGES FOR YOUR CAKE CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS?
Classes listed under the "Cake Class" tab are for adults - 18 years and older. However, if you have a student that is 16 years or older, I may accept them in a basic class. All Palomar College classes age is 18 and up unless otherwise noted. For kids and teens classes, please go to the Kids/Teen Classes tab.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN OPENED?
I opened in September 2008.
WHY DO YOU CARRY THE CERTAIN PRODUCTS, AND NOT OTHERS?
The majority of the supplies that I carry, I have tried and am knowledgeable about their uses. I also feel they are quality products and will not carry substandard products. Also, some items don't "move" as quickly and stay on the shelf, so I prefer to carry more popular items. I can, however, order any product you want and have it delivered to the shop within 2 weeks.
DO YOU OFFER CRAFT PARTIES TOO?
Yes, most definitely. In fact, the studio is really about all types of art.
DO YOU RENT CLASSROOM SPACE?
Yes, if you are in need of meeting space, the shop holds 14 seated at a table. A liability insurance policy will be required.
