Cocktail Garnishes

When someone says, "What is your favorite Garnish?", what do you think of? I used to think the standard garnish for cocktails being a twist of lemon or lime rind. However these days I am more thoughtful when thinking of garnishes. For me, my favorite garnish leans toward a unique decorative piece that complements the cocktail. For example, when creating a cocktail, I will use edible glitter paired with rind to complement the drink or create a "sugar" piece with edible glitter to make a statement. I feel it completes the cocktail and adds that extra special touch. I would love to learn what you like in a cocktail garnish. Please leave me a comment below.
